Easter/Conference

We hope you had a nice Easter and were able to watch conference. Yesterday we watched the first half of conference at home and then went to Shawn and Tonnas house for an Easter egg hunt, barbecue, and the second half of conference (I forgot my camera unfortunately). Gavon thought the hunting for eggs was so fun. He especially liked finding all of the hard boiled eggs. I think he thought they would be yummy to eat. He didn't enjoy eating them though.

Resurrection Rolls-I've wanted to make these for a couple of years now. I decided to make them this year and I'm glad I did. They were fun and might become a new tradition. They turned out huge and were empty like the tomb. These were part of our Sunday morning breakfast along with breakfast burritos. We were able to talk about the resurrection of Christ and how He made it possible for us to be resurrected and live with our families again. We are greatful.

Christians famous cinnamon rolls are our families tradition for Saturday morning conference. They are so yummy!

Egg dyeing as a family.

Jenson had an easter party at school the other day. We were able to come and help and Jordon and Gavon loved feeling a part.

We have been down for awhile and have missed sharing some fun events in our lives. We are back and would like to share some of those events. (They're not in order- I'm trying to figure out how to move pictures around) At the kids school they had a Patriotic Program.

Is he not just the cutest? He would spend every night singing and practicing his songs to me. I think I cried every time. He is my favorite 5 year old. He is so sweet.

Here he is again standing next to one of his best buddies. He has such a great teacher. We're going to miss her.
Every kid in the school made a hand print to make a part of the flag. (My brother is the Principle and does a GREAT! job.

On St. Patricks Day the three musketeers had an all green lunch. (Actually I sent everyone to school with a green lunch too.)
Landon and a neighbor boy worked hard on their Eagle project. They're goal was to make 40 quilts to send to Haiti. Landon and Tanner ended up making 100. We are so proud of Landon and the hard work he has done to achieve this goal.
We have had several birthdays. Madison turned 16. We are grateful for Madison and the sweet person that she is.
Madison had a group of friends over to celebrate this special birthday. We are glad that she has good friends.
The girls ended up going to Jump On It and then coming back to our house to play curses, have cake and ice cream, and open presents.
Joe had his 4th birthday. He wanted to have hamburgers for dinner and puppy cupcakes. We love Joe. He brings joy to our house. Joe is always making us smile with his silliness.
Maron turned a whopping 9. She wanted a giant twinkie cake for her cake. This was definitely the hardest thus far. We love Maron for being such an awesome person!!!! We love her constant smile.
My Sweet Heart had a birthday too. I'm so thankful for him. I don't know what I would do without him. I'm so thankful Heavenly Father brought us together. He is a great person. My best friend. I'm thankful for his wisdom, kindness, and for being there always. We have had some experiences this year that have brought us closer that I could not have done on my own. I could go on and on. He is my Love and I'm grateful for him.

T-Dog turned 13 this year and wanted a snickers candy bar cake. We are grateful for Trenton for his helpfulness, his wittiness, and for his hugs.G- turned 2. I don't think I want him to get big yet. G is the sweetest baby boy. He tries to be big and do everything that the older boys do. He is so funny. He is always making us laugh.

G-loves anything Elmo. We made this Elmo cake for him especial.
He loves to smile for pictures. I love his smile. Gavon brings us such joy. I'm thankful that Heavenly Father let Gavon come to our house. He is everything I wanted and more. (Is he not the cutest?)
We are now somewhat caught up. Enjoy! (MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT OUR MOST RECENT POST IN THE OLDER POST - FESTIVAL OF COLORS

Saturday, March 27, 2010

We went to the Festival of Colours yesturday in Spanish Fork. A cloud of chalk in the air. Some people wore face masks to keep the chalk out of their mouths and noses. We tried to stay out of the cloud as much as possible. I can't believe how many people turned out. It was crazy/fun. Landon, Hayden, and Trenton went crowd surfing. They thought that was kind of fun.March 27th 2010

Fun Fact For Ya-Holi the festival of colours has been a very distinct event in India since the times of Bhagat PRAHALAD, the son of Harankashyap, who being a autocrat King, forced his countrymen to worship him instead of God. The defiance of Prahalad led to many tortures given to him by the King, one of which was to be burnt alive. 'Holika' the sister of Harnakashyap volunteered to take Prahalad into a flame of fire as she was in possession of some magical powers by which she was immune to fire. But Prahalad, with the Grace of God was spared and Holika was destroyed by the same fire, she was not susceptible to. Since that day, this festival came into existence i.e. The Triuph of Truth over Evil.

Go BYU COUGARS!

So this summer Trenton found a big board and asked what he could make with it. We thought about it for a little while and decided to make (as a family project) a Y. We cut, painted, drilled holes, and added lights together. It was a fun project to do together. This new family project is now on our roof showing our BYU SPIRIT. (BYU Won yesturday-We are so excited!)

Teddy Bear Picnic.
Jenson went on a teddy bear picnic on friday. He decided to take his awesome turtle with him (dressed as Batman). He picked out a lunchable to take to eat for lunch. (I thought a sandwich cut into a teddy bear shape and teddy grahams, apple, etc...I thought the whole teddy bear theme would be cool )- What does mom know? His new little friend brought a lunchable too. -Jenson is sure enjoying Kindergarten-his teacher, learning, new friends etc... I'm happy that he is happy.
( It's not the best picture) We are excited for football. Landon has started up again. We are excited to watch all of his games. Go Landon!

RED WEEK
Red is the color of apples
Red is the color of cherries too
Red is the color of a fire truck
I like red don't you?
Jordon wanted to do preschool again this year. We decided to start with colors. Jordon already pretty much knows his colors but it has been fun to do color activies etc...
