Gavon getting caught up on shots at Drs. office. March 2012
Brooklon trys out a second time for Cheer Leading but had to leave early to be in the Young Womens Choir and didn't end up being able to be a part. She was amazing though and will be able to try again next time.

Jordon loses first tooth and soon after second tooth. (March 2012)

Landon ran for Student Body President. He did an incredible job. The student body voted Landon for President but due to bad circumstances (very frustrating circumstances) Landon didn't make president.

We made thousands of sucker mustaches.
These pictures are from March- I told you I was behind.

Madison's 18th Birthday

We wrote on the van with window markers.

Tradition is with Madison that we go to PFChangs for lunch.
Young Women's Conference 2012

Brooklon had the privilege of being in the young women's choir in young women's conference.

We usually go together every year and get either lunch or dinner together and then go to the conference center to listen to Young Women's Conference.

What a great experience for Brooklon to be able to share in this once in a life time experience. We even have a video to remember it if you ever want to watch.
 My sweet girls!
Landon ran for Student Body President and didn't make it (whole other story) but ended up winning Spirit Officer ( perfect for Landon) These are the posters we made for Spirit. (Thanks Grandma Brooks for so much help cutting out so many mustaches etc...)

I'm so far behind. Every time I would get on to get caught up the blog program would'nt work putting me farther and farther behind. I will attempt to catch up some. Some things may be a little out of order but at least it is included.

Gavon plays soccer this year

Family Home Evening with Brooks Family

Jordon turns 6

Jordon requested a "Auston Moon" cake. A what? Yeah that's what I said. I had no idea what and "Auston Moon" cake was. When I found out that Auston Moon was a disney character I wasn't sure how to/where to get an Auston Moon cake. I made a few calls/talked to a few friends and family and figured out that you can go to Walmart with a picture and they would make a face cake. Good to know. So I went to Walmart and ordered my Auston Moon cake. Whoot whoot! I thought they had got me this year.

This is Auston Moon in case you were wondering.

We took blue cupcakes to share with Jordon's class. It is a very cold / bright day hence the eyes being shut and freezing mouth look.

Happy Birthday Jordon!

6 things we love about Jordon

1. He's a good helper

2. Super smart

3. Tough

4. a good sharer

5. a good friend, brother, and son.

6. a good snuggle bunny

Brooklon trys out for cheer leading

Brooklon tried out for cheer leading twice. It was a very frustrating experience for Brooklon. I felt like she knew the dances and cheers perfectly. I feel like it is so political. She ended up not making it both times. I'm going to say it is a blessing although I know when your in the midst of it it is not right or fair. I'm sorry Brook. We love you and think you are great. The cheer team missed out on a very talented girl.

Better late than never....Right? ;) Maron's Birthday

In February Christian was invited to do a seminar in Rexburg Idaho at Ricks College. We thought it could be a fun get away for our family minus the two oldest who had to stay and work. The trip was right around Marons birthday and I worried a little about how we could make it fun without our traditional decorations, a cake, and being on the road. We stopped at Walmart and got some gifts in Idaho that we thought Maron would like and had to get one when we returned home. Maron seemed fine. She's always been so easy to please. Maron doesn't complain a whole lot about a whole lot. That's something I love about Maron. I think I worried about making her cake that she had been planning for weeks (a beach cake). I enjoy the tradition of making the cake that they want and wanted to make hers for her.
When we arrived home we were pleasantly surprised to see that the two that stayed home jumped on their own and made a "beach" cake like Maron had wanted.

Madison and Landon bought a pinata and filled it with candy.

Put streamers everywhere.

Gave Maron $20. (The other $20. is from Grandma Brooks-Thank you!)

Grandma Wrays present was waiting on the table (darling earrings and necklace that she loves-Thank you!)

(Madison was so sweet to make this cake. She rode her bike to the store to purchase everything)

And....Landon blew up something like 75 balloons that covered the entire living room floor.

11 things we love about Maron

1. She is easy to please.

2. She can't stay angry because she ends up laughing.

3. She's so darn funny.

4. She is constantly leaving sweet notes everywhere for everyone.

6. She is a very caring person.

7. Great sense of humor

8. Really smart

9. She's helpful

10. She is persistent

11. She's a good saver

We sure love you Maron our baby girl.

Uncle Mike

In Loving Memory Of

Michael David Jones

July 19, 1941

February 16, 2012

I was just there, in Redding, this last October for my grandmothers funeral. Uncle Mike was busy helping my Aunt with the funeral and herself (my Aunt has terminal cancer). Uncle Mike seemed to be doing well other than he felt like he was getting a cold.

While on the roof after Christmas to remove the lights he tweaked his back and was taken to the emergency room. The hospital, while in the process of glueing a bone in his back, found something they wanted to look a little closer at. After a biopsy they concluded that my uncle Mike had terminal cancer and gave him six months. Four weeks later he passed away.

It was so unexpected. In both cases (the passing of my Grandmother and my Uncle Mike) cousins I have not seen in years came to pay their respects.

I was able to fly out with my Mom, two sisters, and Madison. Although it was a sad occassion that brought us all together I would'nt trade the experiences that came with it.

RIP Uncle Mike.

He was a wonderful person. Very caring and kind.
