In February Christian was invited to do a seminar in Rexburg Idaho at Ricks College. We thought it could be a fun get away for our family minus the two oldest who had to stay and work. The trip was right around Marons birthday and I worried a little about how we could make it fun without our traditional decorations, a cake, and being on the road. We stopped at Walmart and got some gifts in Idaho that we thought Maron would like and had to get one when we returned home. Maron seemed fine. She's always been so easy to please. Maron doesn't complain a whole lot about a whole lot. That's something I love about Maron. I think I worried about making her cake that she had been planning for weeks (a beach cake). I enjoy the tradition of making the cake that they want and wanted to make hers for her.
When we arrived home we were pleasantly surprised to see that the two that stayed home jumped on their own and made a "beach" cake like Maron had wanted.
Madison and Landon bought a pinata and filled it with candy.
Put streamers everywhere.
Gave Maron $20. (The other $20. is from Grandma Brooks-Thank you!)
Grandma Wrays present was waiting on the table (darling earrings and necklace that she loves-Thank you!)
(Madison was so sweet to make this cake. She rode her bike to the store to purchase everything)
And....Landon blew up something like 75 balloons that covered the entire living room floor.11 things we love about Maron
