Quote

Just a quote I liked.
"Men and women who will turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more of our lives than they can. He will deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, raise up friends, and pour out peace. Whoever will lose their life in the service of God will find eternal life." The teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, pg.361
Happy Birthday Maron

This is Maron is her new outfit before school. Isn't she so cute! She has been counting down the days until today.

Gavon was my helper today. He helped me mix Marons cake. He is a great helper.

The best part!

(These pictures are a little backwards) Maron wanted a cake that looked like a Hostess cupcake, filling and all. This is the whip cream filling.

I got a phone call from Maron at school today. She said she had forgotten her treat that she was going to share with her class mates and wondered if I would bring them down. I told her I would bring them around lunch time. She then said " Guess what we're having for lunch?" Me"What?" I don't remember what it was they were having but she said "Doesn't that sound gross?"--I knew where this was going--I asked her what time lunch was. I had 15 min. to change the washer and dryer, change my outfit, and get to the school to drop off treats and........take her to lunch(she chose Carls Jr. :). I took Brooklon and Maron since I didn't take Brooklon to lunch on her birthday. Jenson had already eaten lunch or I would have taken him too.

What do you think, does it look like a Hostess cupcake?

This a yummy moist cake. It turned out yummy.
10 Things we adore about Maron
1. She has a beautiful smile.
2. She is always so willing to share with everyone.
3. She is always sincerely thankful for everything she is given. I love that
and I am thankful for her.

5.She is witty. She always comes up with silly things to say. She makes me smile.
6. She's so patient. She doesn't usually complain about anything.
7. She is thoughtful and kind. She has a caring heart.
8. She is a great friend and loves to be with her friends.
9. She is a great artist and seamstress. She is very creative.
10. She is easily entertained.
and...... she finds joy in the simplest things. She is so helpful.
I am thankful that Maron was sent to our home. She will always be my sweet baby girl.
Did I ever tell you...I love being a mom!

Feb. 23rd-
Landon is sick. We took him to the Dr. yesturday and they said he has strep throat. They gave him the choice of a pill for ten days or a shot in the behind. He opted for the shot. I think today he's wishing he would have chosen the pills for ten days. We hope for a speedy recovery and that no one else gets it.
Madison is at the Dr. right now getting her ankle checked. It has hurt for too long. When Madison gets hurt we always have to check if she broke something. We hope for a speedy recovery for her too and that she can get back to lacrosse soon.
Trenton and Brooklon get braces in 7 days. I wouldn't know that other than Brooklon has a count down and she let's me know every day, sometimes twice.
Maron is sooooo excited she can hardly stand it. Tomorrow is the "BIG Day"! We have a new outfit ready and waiting to wear, our nails are painted, we're having homemade cafe rio salads (YUM!) for dinner, a giant hostess cupcake cake (homemade by me :), and an awesome party planned for saturday. We'll take lots of pictures.
Jenson is a awesome reader! Wow he never stops amazeing me.
Jordon is counting the days (with help) until his "BIG day"! I forgot that it is so close to Maron's. He said the other day "Mom, What would I do without you?" I love being important! I don't know what I would do without any of my kids or sweet husband. I feel blessed.
Gavon has a little cold in one of his eyes. It looks like he is giving the evil eye. He is so sweet I can hardly stand it. I love this little guy. He is so full of life. I love the little things he says to me. Today I said "You are my sweet heart". Gavon then looks at me and says " You are my sweet heart".
Life is pretty great!

Sweet Heart, Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch,

February 2011

Week of February 14th-20th

Not a lot of excitement this week.
We had Dads and Donuts. Christian was able to go to Jensons class and see what Jenson has been working on.
We had Moms and Muffins. I was able to go to Moms and Muffins with Maron. Maron picked out my outfit as part of her tradition. We ended up taking a math test together before we could enjoy our muffins. I would have much rather preferred seeing what Maron had been working on instead.:)
We paid Madisons fees for Lacrosse just in time for her to hurt her anckle. She has been resting so she can get back soon. We hope for a speedy recovery.
Jordon has been wanting and waiting for his kindergarten check up for weeks. He would ask me everyday if I was going to make the appointment. He had been sick for about 3 wks with a fever and ear ache so I was a little worried about having shots. I made the appointment but told them that I didn't want to do the shots because I felt that his immune system needed a break and I wasn't sure when I would get them done. When I got to the appointment the Dr. told me if I didn't believe in getting immunizations done that I would need to leave and find a different office to see. I told the Dr. that all of my kids have been immunized (Jordon and Gavon have both had immunizations-just not all of them) I just felt like we needed to wait and I wasn't sure when I would get them done. I just wanted to make sure Jordon was fully recovered. The Dr. said it was o.k. to wait and do the shots spaced out but to not do immunizations at all was not o.k. etc.. The Dr. did the entire physical. The physical seemed to go well. I thought he would not have done the physical if he wasn't happy with my answer. --Well yesturday I recieved a letter in the mail.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Wray:

Alpine Pediatrics, P.C. has made the decision to withdraw further professional attendance on your child(ren) as of March 20, 2011. What!?!? Are you serious! I have felt a little at ah. What just happened? I have felt like I have had a couple of sleepless nights feeling some anger, frustration, confussion, etc...-- Isn't this America where people should have a choice in what they do as far as shots, no shots or wait? Yes, he had a choice in telling me that Alpine Pediatric didn't have to see us anymore due to the fact we wanted to wait on immunizations but I thought we could decide to wait and let Jordon be healthier. What ever happened to a mothers intution? I stick with my choice. I will find another Dr..

Well that is Our excitement for this week. We have been plotting and planning Maron's Birthday Party. We will show pictures next sunday after all of the Birthday celebrations are done. Love Amber

silly girls

Silly Girls!
These two girls are soo silly. I heard them talking today. Maron says "Brook, we should have a five minute sleep over". They went and put on face mask and had a mini pillow fight. I heard the timer on the microwave go off and Maron says "There's the timer". They both went in and washed their faces and they were done.;) Silly!\
Maron came to me while I was making mashed potatoes for dinner and said "I see your making mashed potatoes......very riske' ". Those two always have something silly going on. I love every minute of being Mom! I want to put bricks on their heads and keep them little for ever!

Love Bug, Sugar Pie, and Sweet Heart.

What would February be without a Gavon post.
He is a star!
Last night Gavon came to Christian and I with these glasses on and did a little made up dance. He is such a hoot!

Maybe the longest post ever!

February
This has been one of the busiest months. We have had a lot going on.
(This was actually the end of January. It all starts to run together.)-We (Christian, Trenton, Brooklon, Maron, Jenson, Jordon, Gavon and I) went to watch Trenton wrestle at a two day wrestling match in Roy. Although it was a long two day match we think Trenton did a great job and we hope to go to many more matches.

That's fire in his eyes.
February 2nd was Ground Hog Day! We (Jordon, Gavon, Jenson and I) went out to see if we could see our shadows. We traced our shadows with chalk and tried to predict if Puxatany Phil (The ground hog) could see his shadow or not. We read two fun ground hog books. They taught us that if he saw his shadow we would have 6 more weeks of winter. If he didn't see his shadow spring was coming.

We colored ground hogs and attempted to make silhouettes of ourselves. We are hoping for an early spring.

I have been doing the 14 days of Valentines day for my family. One day I left a note on the table that said "I think your a great bunch so I made you a very special lunch". I made everyone a fun lunch full of prepackaged processed food. I'm not sure that says "I love you", but they seemed to enjoy it.:) This is Jordon and Gavon enjoying theirs.

Christian and I took Brooklon on a date to the Justin Bieber "Never Say Never" 3D movie. We had fun one on one time with Brooklon. We are so proud of her and what a great girl she is. The glasses they are wearing are the 3D glasses minus the lenses from the movie. They have been wearing the frames for the last couple of days. Maron wore hers to Walmart the other day and a man came up to her and said "Those glasses are awesome". I'm not sure she remembered she was wearing them until he said something.
Other February happenings-(some crazy some not so crazy)
Our cars were broken into sometime in January at our home. No one (We think) got anything but maybe a pb and J sandwich (Not really!). But just last week at Walmart someone got into our van. They took our windshield wipers off and left me a big cup of McDonald's soda (YUCK!)
Note to self-Lock your car doors not just at home but where ever you go.
Madison started playing on the AF girls lacrosse team. She is really enjoying lacrosse and has made a lot of good friends.
Madison also had her first date last night. I should get some pictures soon. They (Madison and "This Boy" went with two other couples to the Saddies dance. It sounded like they had a fun time.
Christian traveled to Maryland this month for some training.
We have had a few sick kids this month. It's one of those sicknesses that have been hard to get rid of.
We have kindergarten shots coming up this week. Jordon has been begging me for a couple of weeks to call and make an appointment for His kindergarten shots. I've never seen anyone so excited for shots. I hope he is excited when the day for them comes.
Trenton and Brooklon get braces soon. Brooklon has a count down to the day. She is so excited. I don't know how excited Trenton is.
We have been busy making valentines/valentine boxes.
We have had play dates and parties. We have Moms and Muffins and Dads and Donuts this next week. And most important we have a birthday coming up. Marons! So stay tuned for all the excitement. You'll have to see the cake she has picked for me to make.??????
