Not a lot of excitement this week.
We had Dads and Donuts. Christian was able to go to Jensons class and see what Jenson has been working on.
We had Moms and Muffins. I was able to go to Moms and Muffins with Maron. Maron picked out my outfit as part of her tradition. We ended up taking a math test together before we could enjoy our muffins. I would have much rather preferred seeing what Maron had been working on instead.:)
We paid Madisons fees for Lacrosse just in time for her to hurt her anckle. She has been resting so she can get back soon. We hope for a speedy recovery.
Jordon has been wanting and waiting for his kindergarten check up for weeks. He would ask me everyday if I was going to make the appointment. He had been sick for about 3 wks with a fever and ear ache so I was a little worried about having shots. I made the appointment but told them that I didn't want to do the shots because I felt that his immune system needed a break and I wasn't sure when I would get them done. When I got to the appointment the Dr. told me if I didn't believe in getting immunizations done that I would need to leave and find a different office to see. I told the Dr. that all of my kids have been immunized (Jordon and Gavon have both had immunizations-just not all of them) I just felt like we needed to wait and I wasn't sure when I would get them done. I just wanted to make sure Jordon was fully recovered. The Dr. said it was o.k. to wait and do the shots spaced out but to not do immunizations at all was not o.k. etc.. The Dr. did the entire physical. The physical seemed to go well. I thought he would not have done the physical if he wasn't happy with my answer. --Well yesturday I recieved a letter in the mail.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Wray:
Alpine Pediatrics, P.C. has made the decision to withdraw further professional attendance on your child(ren) as of March 20, 2011. Alpine Pediatrics firmly stands behind the current immunization guidelines established by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). We reserve the right to withdraw services for non-compliant patients.
We suggest that you place your child(ren) under the care of another physician before March 20, 2011. If you are not aquainted with another physician, you can contact the Utah Medical Association (801) 355-7477 or your insurance company to find a physician in the area. Should follow up care be needed before the date indicated above you may contact our office for treatment.
Although we cannot continue as your child(ren)'s physician, we extend to you our best wishes for their future health. Please contact me directly for any future communication.
Sincerely,

What!?!? Are you serious! I have felt a little at ah. What just happened? I have felt like I have had a couple of sleepless nights feeling some anger, frustration, confussion, etc...-- Isn't this America where people should have a choice in what they do as far as shots, no shots or wait? Yes, he had a choice in telling me that Alpine Pediatric didn't have to see us anymore due to the fact we wanted to wait on immunizations but I thought we could decide to wait and let Jordon be healthier. What ever happened to a mothers intution? I stick with my choice. I will find another Dr..
Well that is Our excitement for this week. We have been plotting and planning Maron's Birthday Party. We will show pictures next sunday after all of the Birthday celebrations are done. Love Amber
