Snow family built by Landon and Maron Wray

Our Traditional Gingerbread
House

Landon had a violin Christmas concert early on in December. We were able to go as a family and really enjoyed the Christmas music. Landon told us he had a solo and we waited and waited and saved camera space. The concert came and went and there was no solo. Later he told us that some of his friends just played along with him. They did a great job.

18 Years Ago Today!

18 years ago today I married the love of my life Christian Wray.

(We don't usually go out and do something fancy by ourselves for our anniversary (December is a busy month). We did though have a nice dinner as a family with sparkleing apple cider. :) It's all good.

(I won't get too personal or mushy because that is for another place although this is our song):)

Christian

Handsome-I think he only gets handsomer

Smart-He knows so much he amazes me.

Giving-He is always giving.

Caring- He has 8 children and a wife whose eyes sparkle when he's around....because he always puts us first.

Great listener-I love to talk with him because I know he is listening and has such wisdom.

Amazing Father-Such a great example

Kind-To everyone he comes in contact with

Best Friend-Loyal, trust worthy, positive, understanding, compassionate

Silly/funny-He knows how to make us all laugh and keep laughing

Steady-Always so even

Calm-He is the most calm person I know. (I have always said that he should have been a Dr. Not just any Dr. but one who works in the ER. Nothing phases him. He is so calm and collected.

Great Teacher-He teaches us all so much just by his calm example

He means so much to us. He is a great leader and example.

He is all and everything to me and our family. I am grateful for these 18 years and hope to have many, many more together.

Happy Anniversary!

Gavon, Love Bug, Sweet Heart, Sugar Pie, Gavatar #2

Gavon - Photo shoot #2
I was told that I had to have a picture with both the black cowboy hat and tan cowboy hat. I hope you enjoy as much as I have.

I could make a book of all the many Gavon looks.

I LOVE this kid!
Gavon is quite the little helper. He loves helping around the house. Today we cleaned out the refrigerator. I wish all of my kids could have that much excitement when cleaning.:)(Make sure you look at "more posts" to see all we have been up to.)
12/16/10
Today at the kids school the 3rd-6th grade classes had their Christmas Sing. Tomorrow is the K-2nd grade. I video taped the girls singing but could'nt get them to load on my blog so you'll just have to trust me when I say "They were awesome!" Tomorrow I will tape Jensons.

Monday Night
Family Home Evening
Beautiful Night
Not Too Cold
Great Night To Go To Temple Square In
Salt Lake City

We ran into one of our neighbors and they took our picture for us.

This is floating on the reflection pool along with little tea light candles in little bubbles of glass. It was beautiful.

Shepherds watching over their flocks by night.

The lights were beautiful!

Nativity!

This was a fun Family Home Evening. We enjoyed donuts and hot chocolate to top off the night.

These are the pictures we used for our Christmas card this year.

We could'nt figure out why there was a haze on this picture. Leave it to Landon-there was a finger print on the lense @#!%$! None the less, it's still cute and this is what it is. Merry Christmas! You should get one soon.

At the kids school they do this thing called "Dads and Donuts" or "Mom's and Muffins" where you go listen to your kids read to you and look at what they have been doing. The other day it was Dads and Donuts for Maron's class. I thought it was kind of funny. Maron had an outfit all picked out for Christian to wear. Purple shirt, tan pants, and no tennis shoes! Christian was such a sport. Not only did he wear the chosen outfit but he didn't feel well. What a good sport.

Silly Maron
Family home evening this week we talked about giving not just receiving gifts. We made a list of the things we thought we wanted for Christmas. We then talked about Christmas being Christ's birthday and how we can give Him gifts. We talked about what gifts we could give. (sharing, being kind, reading our scriptures, saying our prayers, including others, saying Hi, smiling, etc...)

We wrote these down and put them in these boxes we made and hung them on our Christmas tree.

We love family home evening!
We have also been doing some Christmas traditions. 1. The Friend magazine had a fun advent calendar that asks a question every night about the birth of our Savior 2. We light our advent wreath on the four Sundays before Christmas and talk about what they stand for. 3. We have been reading stories and singing a hymn every night. 4. We have a candy count down that Jordon, Gavon and I made one day.
---
I love this time of year. I love the time we spend together talking/sharing/visiting/and worshiping as a family.
We talked last night about what it means to "adore" Him. (Oh come let us adore Him) We looked up adore in the dictionary-Adore 1.Worship 2. To regard with loving admiration 3. To be extremely fond of. We then looked up the word worship. Worship- Worthiness, respect, reverence paid to a Divine being. What do you do to adore/worship/remember/be like Him?
