Family home evening this week we talked about giving not just receiving gifts. We made a list of the things we thought we wanted for Christmas. We then talked about Christmas being Christ's birthday and how we can give Him gifts. We talked about what gifts we could give. (sharing, being kind, reading our scriptures, saying our prayers, including others, saying Hi, smiling, etc...)
We have also been doing some Christmas traditions. 1. The Friend magazine had a fun advent calendar that asks a question every night about the birth of our Savior 2. We light our advent wreath on the four Sundays before Christmas and talk about what they stand for. 3. We have been reading stories and singing a hymn every night. 4. We have a candy count down that Jordon, Gavon and I made one day.

I love this time of year. I love the time we spend together talking/sharing/visiting/and worshiping as a family.
We talked last night about what it means to "adore" Him. (Oh come let us adore Him) We looked up adore in the dictionary-Adore 1.Worship 2. To regard with loving admiration 3. To be extremely fond of. We then looked up the word worship. Worship- Worthiness, respect, reverence paid to a Divine being. What do you do to adore/worship/remember/be like Him?
