Friday the 13th!

Friday the 13th!

I just finished reading a friends blog about how crazy her day was on friday "the 13th". These last couple of crazy weeks/days have started to run together for me. After thinking about it for a minute, I realized that that was the day Gavon broke his feemer bone after jumping on the trampoline with Jenson, Jordon, and Brooklon and was put in this lovely body cast.- I'm really not superstitious. I guess if it had to happen it was better to happen on the weekend then during the week. It was a long friday and saturday . I never thought a broken bone could take up so much time. I thought it would just be going to the Dr., having a cast put on and going home to take care and love on him. We went to a after hours Dr, over to Timp. hospital, and then two days at Primary Childrens Hospital (which I have to say really took care of Gavon. They have some great Docter/staff. They have a kids crew there that bring around crafts, playdough, crayons, markers, games, toys etc... to make sure everyone is happy. They had a toy room just outside of Gavons room that he could play in. Video games for older kids. They work hard at making your stay as good as can be. - Gavon is doing well. Better than I expected. I'm thankful that we're home and that it wasn't any worse than it was and I hope no else does anything crazy- we're still trying to pay off Gavons mouth surgury.

Family Home Evening

Last Monday we had a family home evening lesson on how Satan tells us lies and uses different things (drugs, pride, dishonesty, immodesty, etc..) to trap us in his web. It was a really good lesson and we had good discussion.

For family home evening treats Jordon helped me make Ritz cracker spiders with peanut butter, crackers, raisins, and pretzels.

Gavon, Love Bug, Sweet Heart, Sugar Pie

Isn't he so cute!

Do ya love the boots and the huge smile?:)
This is Gavons new thing, if you cover your eyes nobody can see you (or so he thinks). -That's a can of spaghetti O's wrapped in his shirt. He wore it tucked in his shirt for a good portion of the day.

You can't see me!

You can't see me. (I love it. Gavon is so cute and keeps us all laughing).

Dyeing Easter Eggs

We love dyeing Easter eggs!

Jordon used stickers to make a silly face on his egg.
Jenson used stickers too.

Maron and her egg.

Gavon and some of his eggs.

Dyed Easter eggs = deviled eggs later. My kids (especially Brooklon) loves deviled eggs. Deviled eggs are one of our family Easter traditions.

We had a nice "Spring Celebration" with Easter baskets, egg hunts, and dyeing eggs and a nice Easter Sunday with Grandma Brooks over for dinner. We had ham, Chantilly potatoes, asparagus, rolls, and a homemade carrot cake.

Spring Break

Spring Break (a much anticipated break)

Maron and Trenton were able to go visit Grandma and Grandpa Wray for a couple of days.

Christian and I were able to get a new mattress.

Went to diary of a wimpy kid-movie.

Caught a snake in our garden. The boys with a gardener snake.
Found some worms.
Rented a u-haul and loaded sticks from our fruit trees and hauled 2 loads of turkey mulch to our garden.
Played in some blow up balls.
Ate pizza and watched movies.

Painted the girls room blue and got new comforters.

ETC... All in all we had a great time together. Tomorrow life and routine start again. Madison and Landon sign up for the CNA class.

Happy, Happy Birthday Jenson Dear

(My pictures are backwards) Jenson requested hamburgers and potato salad for dinner and a hamburger cake. Jenson with his teacher Mrs. Jeffery-We sure think she is great!
Jenson was so excited to open his presents: He got some Star Wars Lego's, Vans tennis shoes, 2 shorts with 2 shirts, a bay blade (?) from Jordon, and a sleeping bag. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Wray for the helicopter and Grandma Brooks for the $-(He bought a Nerf gun that he has had his eye on and is saving the rest) Thank you! Thank you!
Happy 7th Birthday Jenson. We so love you.

and.....He is loving, he has pretty red hair, he is patient with his brothers and willing to do things with them.

He likes to pray to his Heavenly Father.

He is always so happy and easy going.

He is thoughtful of others.

He gives hugs and kisses just because and always says how much he loves us.

I'm so thankful for Jenson. Jenson has a very special place in my heart, he knows that. I always tell him his birth story and how special he was and is to me. We love you Jenson and are forever thankful that you were sent to our house.

Conference

We were privileged to watch conference as a family this month and hear some great talks as well as do some of our family conference traditions. Our traditional conference cinnamon rolls. (Christian makes the best cinnamon rolls). Jordon was our server "with frosting :)")
We made packets for everyone. Part of Jenson's packet had this balloon Nephite.
We love conference and the memories, feelings, and traditions.

Almost 1,000 balloons

If anyone knows me well they know that I absolutely love decorating/celebrating/family traditions. This is my newest decoration I made and put up for birthdays. I hurried and finished it just in time for Jenson's birthday and hope to use it for years to come. Over 1,000 balloons made into a wreath to hang up for birthdays at our house. I love it!

Gavon got a set of new choppers

Gavon got a new set of choppers

Gavon and his new set of choppers. Gavon and his old set of choppers.
Gavon being silly.

It has changed his look a little and it makes me somewhat sad. Don't get me wrong I am grateful that his teeth have been fixed and he is healthier. I'm grateful for the experience we had as a family fasting for Gavon. We just think it has made him look a little different and we are getting use to the new Gavon.:)

April Fools!

April Fools!

For lunch today we have: An apple with a gummy worm coming out, spinach root juice, caterpillar and cheese sandwich, cheese crackers with ears, and stinky cheese cookies :)
For dinner (or dessert) we had cake (or meatloaf),with frosting (or mashed potatoes), and corn.

Two layer meatloaf cake with mash potatoe frosting and drizzled with bbq sauce. It was a hit here at our house. We also did the cups with juice (jello) and a straw. Happy Aprils Fools Day! Now on to conference weekend. We are looking forward to listening to our Prophet speak and our conference traditions.
