Traditions

One of our family traditions is to have everyone pick a pie and make it for thanksgiving.

Trenton made a brownie pie.
Maron made a yummy pecan pie.

Brooklon made a coconut cream that was to die for.

After Pie :)

Before pie.:)Jordon and I made pumpkin pie from scratch. I've always wanted to make a pumpkin pie from scratch. I heard that it tasted better than canned pumpkin. It tasted yummy.

Jenson wanted to make a lemon meringue pie and he did a great job!

Making popcorn balls during Christmas break

Pink popcorn balls during Christmas break.

Jello popcorn balls

1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 (3 ounce) package Jello gelatin (any flavor)
9 cups popped popcorn
Directions:
1
Mix all ingredients except popcorn in a heavy sauce pan.
2
Bring to a boil and cook just until jello and sugar are dissolved.
3
Pour over popcorn and mix well.
4
Wet your hands under cold water, shake water off or butter hands slightly and work quickly to form popcorn balls.
5
Place the finished balls on wax paper and once cooled wrap them more wax paper.
6
You can make these as big or as small as you like.

I'm going to attempt to get caught up on my blog.

At the fall program each student was to make a picture of something that they were thankful for. Jordons picture is the sun.

Jordons Fall Class Program

Jordon had a thanksgiving program in his class with singing and dancing. (Jordon is #3 in from the right with his chin resting on his hands)

The other half of the class (his good friend Aden is 2nd from the left-are they separated for a reason :)

Sweet Jordon - Kindergarten

The invitation Jordon gave us to come to the fall class program. Jordon was so excited and did a great job.

Preference 2011 Landon and Erica

Landon was asked to the Preference Dance 2 months early by a nice girl named Erica Hammond. There were several "anonymous" calls there after asking if he had already been asked. I guess Erica knew better to ask early knowing there were a few others wanting to ask.

Friday they went in a group ice skating and then back to one of the girls houses for pizza, hot chocolate and games.
Saturday they went with the same group to one of the girls houses for a nice dinner and then to the dance.

*I don't have Madisons pictures yet. Pictures coming soon!
